Hobby Hangout: Choosing a Colour Scheme for a New Army

March 2024·pp. 26–29

THE SHORT VERSION

Emily Ridding records the experiments behind a new bright Tyranid force, beginning with natural reference material and several deliberately different test models. Comparing time, contrast and enjoyment reveals which elements can survive across an army. Tests of blue carapace patterning then lead to a final pale-flesh, orange-shell and dark-blue-weapon scheme that combines the strongest discoveries without retaining every labour-intensive stage.
