Logna joins Be’lakor’s covert followers in murdering a marked warrior beneath the Varanspire, hoping to avenge her bond-mate’s dishonourable death. Their Varanguard guide leads them towards an armoury, but a loyal marshal has anticipated the betrayal. Her spear transforms the rebels into agonised masses of flesh, denying Logna even the honourable blade-death she begs for.
