Ushizar’s psychic interrogation supplies the title Liturgarch but little explanation of the Word Bearers’ attack. Ilum finds a similar phrase in a veteran’s account of Thyriar, where a young Ushizar fought orks and their grotesquely confined psykers during his first campaign. Reading the old journal brings both pride and grief, while the matching syllables suggest a connection spanning centuries that the Librarian still cannot explain.
