Slidecrown Studio Armies: Quick Painting Methods
January 2024·pp. 34–36
THE SHORT VERSION
Joey’s red Seraphon use extensive drybrushing to finish scales and weapons quickly, while Steve’s Kruleboyz rely on earthy Contrast colours over a sandy undercoat. Kelly varies diluted turquoise on Tzaangors to avoid identical skin tones, and Stuart combines dark metallic spraying with pale preparations for Contrast details on his Slaves to Darkness. Each method keeps the force coherent without requiring every surface to be painted identically.
