Painting Bamboo and Jungle Details

January 2024·p. 26

THE SHORT VERSION

Bamboo platforms receive a translucent yellow-green foundation and two pale drybrushes applied along their grain, with rope picked out separately in leather brown. Bones and soil are then coloured before snow texture is repurposed as moss. Green Contrast over the dried texture creates dense, bright growth that both finishes the jungle scene and hides untidy joins or overspray.
