Defence Systems Active sends boarding patrols into a ship whose automated security grows more dangerous as the battle progresses. A branching threat chart changes the risks of operating doors, attacking, charging, using stratagems and moving near the control stations, while the Prime objective shifts between marked sites. Players must balance progressive control against a final opportunity to flood the network with conflicting data.
