Mark Harrison discusses the Norn Emissary as an enormous but unusually focused extension of the Norn Queens’ will. Its divided brain, subordinate Neurocyte, spinal processor and long grasping limbs combine psychic authority with physical menace; contrasting head shapes distinguish it from the DNA-harvesting Assimilator. The explanation connects individual sculpted details to the creature’s role rather than presenting its size alone as the design’s achievement.
