Buried in Fog
December 2023·pp. 24–25
THE SHORT VERSION
An expedition into Ulgu searches six terrain sites for treasure hidden by supernatural fog. Repeated searches improve the chance of discovering riches, but the prize must then be carried safely: melee attackers can seize it and ranged deaths leave it on the ground. Uncertain arrivals and the need to protect a successful search party make the mission a contest of exploration and extraction.
