Dan Moody draws on experience with marine life to imagine an Ulgu enclave in almost permanent deep-sea gloom. Dark purple armour and green-blue skin convey that environment, while sculpted wave bases are pressed into putty, painted with layered watery colours and glossed to support the army’s shadowy atmosphere.
