THE SHORT VERSION

The compound raises the warband’s capacity and offers a recurring mercenary contract in the aftermath sequence. Jobs add small goals to later battles—assassination, escort-like positioning, stolen goods, high-ground watch or clearing overgrowth—and completion rewards a lesser artefact rather than replacing the battle’s main victory condition.
