Royal Beastflayers
August 2023·p. 78
THE SHORT VERSION
The Royal Beastflayers preserve a grotesque version of courtly hunts under the Flesh-eater curse. They imagine honourable expeditions, noble armouries and trophies, while actually wielding carrion weapons and flaying their prey. Although they sometimes kill real dangers, their attacks on scouts and mystical guardians more often leave settlements lost and lands vulnerable, and feasting on beasts makes the hunters increasingly bestial themselves.
