THE SHORT VERSION

Nathan Trolley explains the studio Realmscape buildings’ pale stone and bronze cladding. Diluted washes over Grey Seer shade the masonry before drybrushing and matching edge highlights restore definition. Bronze receives layered recess colour and bright metallic highlights; the answer specifies heavily diluted paint-medium washes, with the cladding glaze instead feathered out using water.

Model of the Month: Contemptor Dreadnought

Michał Gmitrasiuk’s competition Contemptor develops smooth blue armour through successively paler glazes over Kantor Blue. Warm washes weather the silver machinery, with bright edges restoring its metallic appearance.
