THE SHORT VERSION

Inspired by the beauty and scale of a giant sequoia forest, Jimbo Warth paints a wargrove sent to find lost Spirits of Durthu. Orange-shaded pale bark, green spirits and purple skin make its redwood theme distinct, while an axe-bearing Treelord and subtle repositioning personalise the models. The recipes repeat across bark, wings and leaves so the conversions remain part of a coherent army.

Painting Question: The Pallid Hand

Tom Moore’s Death Guard armour starts from white and gains a warm aged finish through Skeleton Horde, Ushabti Bone and pale drybrushed and edge highlights.
