SHOWCASE·WHITE DWARF 489

The Unforgiven: Hobbyists’ Gallery

June 2023·pp. 106–111

THE SHORT VERSION

Converted Dark Angels and successors demonstrate ways to express the Chapter’s identity beyond a standard green infantry squad. Examples include Billy Ho’s weathered Invictor, Luke Dunford’s cyber-owl Librarian and Ravenwing riders, Les Martin’s sculpted-robed Ancient, Ken Fung’s illuminated Dark Talon and Łukasz Frączek’s high-contrast leaders. Other contributors explore subtle edge highlights, veteran parts and contrasting gold finishes.

The closing models include gritty Ravenwing scouts, Pete McMullin’s quartered bone-and-purple Knights of the Shrouded Skulls, and Bethany Lancaster’s texture-conscious biker Chaplain. Short named colour recipes accompany most entries, distinguishing armour, robes, rust, bone and metallics; the aircraft discussion instead concentrates on conversion work and an unnamed clear-green finish.
