PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 488

The Grymwatch

May 2023·p. 143

THE SHORT VERSION

Matthew Rose builds ghoul skin through pale base colour and drybrushing, then divides the shading by anatomy and material. Red around sores, hands and eyes differs from the brown feet and clothing or greenish belly. Sharp white highlights and splashed blood finish the horror effect while keeping the flesh readable.
