The Bloodgullet’s raw-blood rites turn desperate when a curse produces Gorgers and a scalding flood devastates Butcher’s Gorge. Their shamans blame Har Kuron for wasting spilled blood and lead a Mawpath against its food supply and Khainite defenders. The Daughters of Khaine recognise that sacrificing aelves in huge Mawpots is changing the land itself, leaving them to choose between stopping the raiders and attacking the guarded meat-priests behind the arcane threat.
