THE SHORT VERSION

Daniel Rowley’s Strike Force Adaon performs rapid containment against Hive Fleet Leviathan. A dark undercoat, purple shading and white zenithal airbrushing establish a value gradient before transparent yellow and red create the plate colour. Dark brown on the undersides of gold armour and blue-green recesses give the Sanguinary Guard similar depth, with a related turquoise recipe for power swords.

Painting Question: Some Classic Iyanden Colours

The studio translates the palette of an older Iyanden Farseer into the contemporary Citadel range. Separate recipes distinguish neutral black cloth from colder blue-highlighted black armour, while brown shading keeps yellow areas warm.
