Nyle Ajina explains how complete Rivals decks replace scattered universal cards and change the way players learn construction. Playing cards first can reveal combinations more naturally than analysing them in advance. Rivals starts immediately, Nemesis combines a warband deck with one universal deck, and Relic opens the historical pool. These formats provide a gradual route towards deeper construction while allowing players to retain the experience they prefer.
