PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 449

Ruins: Wood, Metal and Groundwork

December 2019·pp. 20–21

THE SHORT VERSION

Wooden stairs and metal gratings receive quick, separate finishes before the surrounding stone is dirtied with texture and drybrushing. Green staining is concentrated near the lower portions of walls, linking the terrain to its ground surface and introducing age without obscuring the architectural detail.
