Penitent 707: Retinue Rules

THE SHORT VERSION

The retinue framework explains how an attached character acts alongside an expedition rather than replacing an explorer. Penitent 707 has sharply different behaviour while pacified and inspired: the dangerous state prioritises nearby victims, creating an ally whose combat power cannot be separated from the risk of losing control.

Casting exhausts a wizard and risks opposition from rivals who can spend power to unbind the spell. Fireballs push enemies back, draining magic changes their reserves, and flight offers a burst of movement, so the timing of a spell matters as much as its immediate effect on the board.
