THE SHORT VERSION

Perry paints the same kind of ghost with translucent base colours, thinning the strongly pigmented green with medium while keeping the cowl and wood more saturated. A few additional highlights complete each material; advice about brush size and working from dark areas towards light ones helps control the runnier paints around small details.

Painting Question: The Cleaved

Dan Hyams’s question prompts a recipe for pale pink Chaos armour stained with carefully diluted brown streaks. Green cloth provides a cool contrast, while progressively lighter flesh colours pick out the armour’s edges without losing the sickly appearance that distinguishes the warband.
