THE SHORT VERSION

A historical campaign recreates the improvised squadron defending Hive Volcanus during the Third War for Armageddon. Five linked actions move from raids and supply missions to a desperate attack on Gargants, with named aces and an optional fixed roster reinforcing a story in which Imperial aircraft cannot simply be replaced after every battle.

Jay Clare’s Orks attack missile silos defended by Michael Bax’s Imperial aircraft and flak batteries. Early losses put the Navy behind, but a surviving Thunderbolt fights back through a succession of close manoeuvres; the Orks’ bombing damage proves just enough for a narrow 168–164 victory despite losing most of their aircraft.

Judgement Squadron: The First Four Sorties

Four familiar Rynn’s World scenarios gain rules for moving gunboats, concealing smog, an Ork high-altitude ambush and the defence of a damaged commander. The sequence steadily changes the squadron’s circumstances, using a common roster and restricted replacement to make later missions depend on earlier survival.

The final mission attacks three tall ground targets whose defences become progressively active as the game continues. An Armageddon variant allows a desperate collision to damage a Gargant and requires every target’s destruction for a true Imperial victory, turning dwindling aircraft into a finite resource for the final assault.
