Golden Demon: Acastus Knight Porphyrion
January 2019·p. 79
THE SHORT VERSION
John paints the Knight’s red armour brighter than the intended result so weathering and varnish can darken it without losing life. Oil washes weather the skeleton, sequential coloured airbrushing marks overheated barrels and transfers are sealed before scratches are added. The judges focus on maintaining consistent scale across such a large model.
