The Dwarf Giants
February 2018·pp. 112–113
THE SHORT VERSION
Alessandro Marinone’s gold-winning Dwarfs use ornate gold armour against cold blue clothing, with particularly careful transitions on their beards. He describes repeated controlled washes and progressively brighter highlights, using the competition entry as a reason to improve metallic painting across an entire team rather than a single figure.
