Warriors of the Northern Tundra

Dom Murray builds a Bloodbound display around a warlord’s throne in a frozen ruin. Red, brass and snow establish a tightly limited palette, while glossy shading and restrained highlights keep the army practical to complete; blood effects, a Slaughterbrute and a corrupted Realmgate reinforce the impression of a warband gathering before battle.

The Chaos Wastes

The tundra board is painted broadly enough to stay subordinate to the army it supports. Brown earth, bronze-touched ruins and generous drifts of texture snow tie the components into one cold landscape, with overspray on the scenery deliberately helping connect the structures to the surrounding ground.

Painting the Fortress

Turner completes the large fortress through a deliberately economical sequence of sprayed colour and drybrushing. Dark foundations, muddy lower walls and lighter stone raised from above give the structure weight, while picked-out skulls and bronze fittings preserve its Chaos identity without requiring every surface to be laboriously layered.
