Robin McLeod distinguishes pale armour, skin and robes through differently coloured shading rather than abandoning Mortarion’s sombre palette. Restrained verdigris, freehand wood grain and carefully placed grime preserve the delicate blending while keeping the weathering within a narrow set of colours.
