Battle Report: Last Stand at T’ruen

THE SHORT VERSION

Jes Bickham’s monster-heavy Hive Fleet Eumenides attacks an alliance of Dan Harden’s D’yanoi T’au and Glenn More’s Farsight Enclaves. The defenders protect three nova shield generators while hunting the Tyranid leaders, and each destroyed generator draws in another monster. Their deliberately unrestricted collections produce six Riptides against a force including the Swarmlord and a Hierodule.

The fighting ends in a draw: the Swarmlord survives, but one generator remains intact. The players revisit Farsight’s death, Old One Eye’s recovery and the importance of eliminating the Venomthrope before firing at the creatures under its protection. Their discussion treats the memorable duels and improvised scenario as the point of the game.
