Agrellan Earth
November 2013·p. 116
THE SHORT VERSION
Dan compares thin and thick layers of crackle paint on bases. A brown undercoat remains visible through the dried cracks, with thicker application producing larger divisions. Painting before attaching low-robed figures improves access. The same effect can suggest mud baked onto tank tracks and lower hulls.
