Painting a Bloodwrack Medusa
October 2013·p. 114
THE SHORT VERSION
Dan uses pale flesh and green scales to suggest a creature living beneath wet mountains. Thin green glazes blend the torso into the tail and add light around the eyes. Allowing a shade to thicken produces controlled mottled markings. A green-blue wash over the weapons suggests weathered bronze, with a separate note offering the same thickening approach for tiny text.
