THE SHORT VERSION

Oliver Norman connects Badrukk to the old imagery of Ork Freebooter pirates. Martin Footitt layers weapons, face and banner to give the figure depth. Wealth appears through teef, medals and an ammunition chest rather than conventional treasure. Jokes in the bionic eye and accompanying Grots preserve the humour within the threatening character.

Iron Guard

Mark Clapham follows Hool from a crowded Mordian hive into the 114th Regiment. Adam is particularly drawn to the convincing civilian setting and wishes the transition through training were longer. Once deployed, the regiment faces renegades and stranger night-time threats. Sergeant Essler and Commissar Tordez give the disciplined formation memorable individual characters.
