An Unexpected Victory

June 2013·p. 141

THE SHORT VERSION

Adam returns from a Hobbit Throne of Skulls weekend with three wins from five games. His Goblins are joined by Trolls and Bolg, changing the force he originally planned. A painting nomination and victory in the quiz add to the experience. The report emphasises enjoyable opponents and new acquaintances rather than an overall tournament title.

The updated tour lists Memphis, Cologne, Birmingham and Modena. Golden Demon and Armies on Parade provide major reasons to bring completed hobby projects. A Carnival of Colour

Eddie Eccles chooses Harlequins inspired by Andy Chambers’s Masque of Vyle. Working for Black Library gives the faction’s fictional guardians an additional personal connection. Masks, books and other collected props help him establish the mood of the project. The entry introduces his plan before showing a finished display.
