THE SHORT VERSION

Dan Harden uses a Leman Russ chassis for an Imperial recovery vehicle. Sentinel joints, Baneblade wheels and Ork chains help build a convincing lifting and winching system. Less obvious components, including Valkyrie parts and a Bretonnian head, complete the details. The project illustrates the usefulness of a well-organised bits collection and targeted trades.

Opening Salvo

Eldar Wraithknight

The Wraithknight combines immense scale with the curved lines of smaller Eldar constructs. Its living pilot shares the machine with the spirit of a dead twin, giving the armour a tragic identity. Wraithcannons, a suncannon and a ghostglaive offer very different main armaments. Articulated joints and optional locating pins allow collectors to choose between straightforward assembly and more ambitious poses.

Hemlock Wraithfighter

A Spiritseer pilots the Hemlock while distortion weapons and a mindshock pod attack its victims in unsettling ways. The double-delta wings preserve a sleek silhouette despite the unusual armament. Dorsal fins and notched shapes connect the aircraft to seers and ghost warriors. Adam highlights those visual links as well as the craft’s role as a terror weapon.
