Painting Horses: Eight Colour Schemes
May 2013·pp. 116–117
THE SHORT VERSION
Eight recipes cover black, palomino, dun, dark bay, dapple grey, appaloosa, light bay and white horses. Different manes, muzzles and lower legs prevent each coat from looking like a single flat colour. Dappled and spotted patterns require more local attention than the simpler coats. Reference to real markings helps add blazes and socks consistently across cavalry models.
