Painting Plaguebearers of Nurgle

March 2013·p. 113

THE SHORT VERSION

Adam’s Plaguebearers begin with warm flesh before successive washes turn it into a sickly surface. Green and blue-green staining supply much of the definition without conventional layered highlights. A red glaze picks out the exposed intestines. The approach enabled him to paint more than thirty models over several evenings while retaining the army’s unhealthy character.
