REVIEW·WHITE DWARF 399

Path of the Incubus

March 2013·p. 39

THE SHORT VERSION

Andy Chambers’ sequel follows the consequences of Commorragh’s catastrophic Dysjunction. Jes Bickham finds particular strength in the relationship between the austere Incubus Morr and the verbose Harlequin Motley. A wider cast makes the city’s schemes involving even when their participants remain overtly cruel. The review praises Chambers’ ability to give a villainous society convincing motives and absorbing political conflicts.
