Citadel Hall of Fame: Sternguard Veteran

THE SHORT VERSION

Paul Dainton nominates Juan Diaz’s Sternguard Veteran because it closely matches his own mental image of a Space Marine. The forward shoulder, readiness for action and restrained detail communicate experience without needing a named character. Diaz recalls developing varied poses across the Sternguard and Vanguard squads in 2008. He finds the recognition especially satisfying because it honours the successful expression of a familiar concept in an ordinary squad member.
