Jeremy Vetock: Home and Away
January 2013·pp. 118–119
THE SHORT VERSION
Jeremy compares the pleasures of a dedicated home gaming room with visiting friends, shops and clubs. Home gives him time to prepare elaborate narrative scenarios, build specific terrain and leave large games in progress; away games require less preparation and offer a wider variety of opponents. He finds value in both carefully staged special events and straightforward battles, with the next game’s company and possibilities ultimately mattering more than its location.
