The Valley of Skulls: Ground and Stonework

November 2012·p. 100

THE SHORT VERSION

Ray and Mick deliberately separate warm, dusty wasteland from cold grey stone. The ground is built through Mournfang Brown, Skrag Brown, Averland Sunset and Rakarth Flesh drybrushing, while Stormvermin Fur and Dawnstone establish the masonry before a brown wash and Fenrisian Grey highlight. They emphasise using little paint and several light passes to preserve texture and depth across large scenery pieces.

The source cross-reference gives pages 94–99, but the Battleground feature actually occupies printed 90–95. Its skull-recipe reference to page 101 is also inconsistent with that page’s Wall of Martyrs guide.
