INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 395

A Dedication to the Dark Gods

November 2012·pp. 126–127

THE SHORT VERSION

Mark Harrison, Mike Fores and Matt Holland explain their collaboration on a Warshrine intended to tower over the army. Ordinary carriers became burden-adapted mutants, while the altar gained a sacrificial workflow, a reliquary and a strange idol developed from a suggestion by Jes Goodwin. The sculptors discuss deliberately mismatched materials, plausible anatomy for extra limbs and the challenge of keeping separately sculpted pieces at the same scale.
