Rust Effect Technique: Dakkajet Engines

October 2012·p. 113

THE SHORT VERSION

Dakkajet engines receive a Warplock Bronze base and Gehenna’s Gold drybrush before successive Agrax Earthshade and Drakenhof Nightshade washes stain the machinery. A final Abaddon Black drybrush suppresses the brightest edges and adds a dirty, exhausted appearance. The combination produces an oily, heat-worn metallic effect distinct from the orange corrosion shown in the neighbouring examples.
