PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 394

Ork Checks

October 2012·p. 115

THE SHORT VERSION

Dan’s checked aircraft panels begin with a light Celestra Grey grid over the dark surface. Alternating squares are filled with the same grey, then brightened with Ulthuan Grey to create a readable black-and-white pattern. Leadbelcher is stippled or drybrushed across the finished design to integrate the checks into the surrounding worn metal rather than leave them looking newly applied.
