Jervis Johnson: Limiting Limitations
October 2012·pp. 58–59
THE SHORT VERSION
Jervis explains why modern army lists use fewer unique-unit restrictions than their predecessors. Limits still support enjoyable games and plausible armies, but each restriction also prevents someone from using models they want to collect. He describes collecting as the foundation of the hobby and encourages carefully agreed experiments that remove restrictions, while cautioning that extra house limits can exclude favourite models without improving the game.
