Dakkajet: Red Paintwork and Chips

October 2012·p. 115

THE SHORT VERSION

Matt Holland’s converted Dakkajet uses Khorne Red and Mephiston Red to establish a rich red hull. Leadbelcher marks chips and exposed edges, then Nuln Oil darkens the weathering and panel detail. The close-up stages demonstrate how a short armour sequence can give a large aircraft a convincingly battered surface without a complicated colour list.
