MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 392

Sculpting & Filling

August 2012·p. 98

THE SHORT VERSION

Small surface bubbles receive a dab of Liquid Green Stuff that can be filed smooth after drying. Larger assembly gaps are filled with two-part putty and blended into nearby detail using a sculpting tool. The guide distinguishes those repair sizes before applying an undercoat, making surface preparation a separate stage rather than hoping paint will hide a poor join.
