PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 387

Grey Fur

March 2012·p. 64

THE SHORT VERSION

Adeptus Battlegrey and black washes establish a grey Thunderwolf with darker coarse fur along its upper body. Drybrushing then distinguishes the lighter underside, using khaki and a little warm brown below while grey highlights define the head and back. The final Space Wolves Grey accents on the longest hairs preserve texture and contrast, and the method also suits smaller wolves or pelts.
