TACTICS·WHITE DWARF 386

The Fallen Realms

February 2012·pp. 40–41

THE SHORT VERSION

Grant contrasts the evil kingdoms gathered in The Fallen Realms. Isengard combines elite Uruk-hai, affordable leaders and Saruman’s magic with auxiliaries such as Dunlendings, Orcs and Wargs; Harad and Umbar rely more heavily on lightly armoured troops, poisoned arrows and unusual specialists. Easterlings offer disciplined heavy infantry and cavalry, whereas Khand supplies a more mobile force. Named leaders can also unlock elite upgrades, showing how character choice changes the identity of an otherwise familiar troop selection.
