PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 386

Easterling Warriors

February 2012·p. 77

THE SHORT VERSION

Rhodes starts with a brown base and separates dark sashes and boots, red cloth and gold armour before giving the model an all-over Devlan Mud wash. Chainmail and Badab Black establish the weapon, while restored red, grey and metallic highlights sharpen the figure without removing its sombre appearance. A pale brown mixed into the red finishes the cloth, and fine lines of Graveyard Earth suggest grain on the shield’s wood.
