PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 386

Easterling Kataphrakts

February 2012·p. 78

THE SHORT VERSION

The mounted models reuse the Warrior method for their riders and barding, keeping cavalry and infantry visibly part of the same army. The horse itself begins over Chaos Black with Scorched Brown, receives a generous Devlan Mud wash and is then layered and highlighted with warmer browns. The reins use Dark Flesh lightened with Bleached Bone, giving a controlled difference between leather and the animal’s coat.
