Weathering Heights
December 2011·p. 81
THE SHORT VERSION
Chris Peach leaves weathering until the building’s materials are finished so that dirt and ageing affect them consistently. A green-and-earth mixture is drybrushed into recesses across the model, then diluted Graveyard Earth deepens selected hollows. Applying the same environmental effect across different surfaces avoids the impression that each part aged separately.
