The article contrasts a flying Jabberslythe’s indirect attacks with a Ghorgon that gains momentum from winning combats and a Cygor that can both throw stones and hunt magical enemies. Under a fictional commission from Boris Todbringer, Simon Grant describes the threat hidden inside the Empire’s forests. Beastmen resent human civilisation and organise warherds around strength, with Gors, Ungors, elite Bestigors, Minotaurs and protected Bray-Shamans occupying different places. The account challenges the Empire’s assumption that scattered forest creatures cannot threaten fortified settlements and introduces the immense monsters that follow their armies.
